Welcome cocktail
A welcome cocktail is planned to take place Sunday 5th September 2010 from 18.00 to 20.00 at the Castello Carlo V in Lecce (Symposium venue). The registration desk will also be opened during such event.

Social dinner
The social dinner will take place at 20.30 of Tuesday 7th September 2010 in the courtyard (outside) of the baroque Palazzo dei Celestini in Lecce that is downtown at a few minutes walking distances from the Symposium venue (Castello Carlo V). In the unlikely (yet unfortunately possible) case of bad weather the location of the social dinner will be changed indoors. Details will be given at the symposium. The social dinner is included in the symposium registration fee. Extra tickets for accompanying guests will be made available at the registration desk at a cost of 80,00Euros. The dinner will be based on traditional cuisine from Lecce and vegetarian dishes will be available. Guided visits
Guided visits (not included in the registration fee) to Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli will be organized by our organization partners K80 and Serafino Viaggi e Turismo. Details are reported below. The visit to Otranto (http://www.comune.otranto.le.it/english_content/index.php) is scheduled in the evening of Monday 6th September so that all interested symposium participants can join.

Monday 6th September
OTRANTO
Meeting point at 19:00 p.m. at the CARLO V Castle.
Arrive in Otranto at 19:30 p.m.
A tour guide will take you to see all of the most interesting sights. Opportunity to have dinner in a typical restaurant.
Return to Lecce around 00:30 p.m.
The round trip to Otranto is by bus.

Tuesday 7th September
LECCE : half -day.
A guide will take you to see the Roman Anphitheatre in Piazza Sant' Oronzo, some Baroque-style buildings, and the main Cathedral of Lecce.

Wednesday 8th September
GALLIPOLI : half-day. 
A guide will show you the historical Center of the town, the Cathedral and the Ipogeo Crusher .

General Information
RESERVATIONS : can be made at the reception of the Carlo V Castle before 12:00 p.m. the day before each excursion. A minimum of 15 participants must be reached with advanced payment, otherwise the participants will be fully reimbursed. The excursions could also be cancelled due to the bad weather or other technical difficulties.

HALF-DAY EXCURSIONS PRICE FOR GALLIPOLI OR LECCE: 20,00 Euro. SPECIAL PRICE FOR CHILDREN AND SENIORS OVER 65!!!

THE FEE INCLUDES: transportations and tour guide.
THE FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE: tickets, meals and etc...
